The UPA is excited about continuing with the Alumni All-Star Game that was started two years ago as a way to showcase the sport and entertain players and fans in conjunction with the College Championships. On Sunday evening of the tournament, following the semi-finals, college stars of yesterday will face off against Team USA in front of the college stars of today. The game will be promoted and presented for maximum entertainment value, and will be part of an evening at the fields that will features games/contests, dinner for teams participating in the College Championships, and the Callahan Award ceremony.
The all-star team will be Mixed and consist of 16 players (8 men and 8 women). The team has at least one representative from each of the 8 college regions. Players were selected based on an application process, and was open only to players who are no longer eligible for the College Series. Selection was based on factors such as level of playing ability, postition/type of players, and sportsmanship.
